Zhang Bao is a fictional character from Luo Guanzhong's historical novel *Romance of the Three Kingdoms*. He is the son of Zhang Fei, a prominent general under Liu Bei. Zhang Bao makes his first appearance shortly after Zhang Fei's assassination.

Following in his father's footsteps, Zhang Bao is depicted as a brave and impetuous warrior. He serves under Liu Bei, and later Liu Shan, during the Shu Han kingdom's campaigns. He often seeks to avenge his father's death and prove his own martial prowess on the battlefield.

Though a capable fighter, Zhang Bao is known for his impulsive nature, which sometimes leads to reckless decisions.
